Identifying what we see

With spring finally here, many ducks are spending a little time on Spring Lake in their travels north, and migratory birds that nest and summer in the area have returned. Has anyone else noticed that the recent windy days seemed to bring out the swallows (or are they swifts?) in droves...a little scary, as in Hitchcock's film The Birds.
