I thought I spotted a couple of Buffleheads near the big island yesterday but couldn't confirm it because they're one of the smallest ducks, and they were spending more time under water than above it...diving in one spot and emerging 30 feet away in another. But this morning they were close enough to identify: Buffleheads...just one pair.
