Happy Easter!
It's not Spring Lake wildlife, but I had to post this quick shot of a desert cottontail we spied at the Rock Art Center near Scottsdale AZ last week...not so different from the rabbits we see in the neighborhood. I wondered where these desert cottontails find water until I read that they rarely drink, and water does not seem to be a requirement for either their survival or reproduction. They're by far the most abundant rabbit in the state and are found in every county up to elevations of 7,000 feet.
