Gray foxes can climb trees and usually build their dens in hollow logs or trees, although Kathy suspects this one may be living under their deck. Adults typically weigh between 7 and 13 pounds. Their diet is mainly rodents--mice, voles, etc., and so they're especially vulnerable to secondary poisoning. A reminder to trap, not poison those pesky rodents. The gray fox can be a helpful partner in controlling them.
